The TV Campfire
Welcome to ATX Television Festival’s first original podcast series. ATX has garnered the nickname “TV Camp for grown ups” out of a loving community of industry and fans that come together to celebrate TV in Austin each June. Whether seeing old friends, or making new ones, the festival is a place to really dig deep on our favorite subject…TV! All while eating tacos, BBQ and drinking a margarita…or two.
Podcasting was the perfect next step, so that the smaller but important conversations curated each year are able to make it to more TV fanatics…like you. For this first series, we’ve put together 6 unique stories with some of our favorite people in TV, each exploring vastly different television topics. You’ll hear our guests explore everything from creating the sound of a show, to the mysteries of pitching to a network, defining what a Showrunner does, and exploring the complexities and importance of representation in front of and behind the camera.
